YU Televentures is an Indian electronics brand, which is partly owned by Micromax Mobile an Indian consumer electronics company headquartered in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. YU has been founded on 18 December 2014, which is a joint venture of Cyanogen Inc. and Micromax Informatics Ltd. Also YU holds official CyanogenOS rights in India. It is said Rahul Sharma owns 99.9% in YU Televentures, and, other 0.1% stake held by two other Micromax founder Vikas Jain and Sumeet Arora. ==YUreka== The first mobile under this brand 'YU' running on Cyanogen OS named 'YUreka', however being a cheap mobile phone, it got a good sales response from customers. Recently, updates of CyanogenMod 12.1 were released. It was launched under the tagline 'YU Play God'. YU's Yureka 4G LTE powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 SoC alongside 2GB DDR3 RAM. It had a MSM8939 LTE Chipset and integrated Adreno 405 GPU @550Mhz. YUreka was launched with Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android Lollipop 5.0.2, which allows users to customize their phone. However, it has now been discontinued on the Amazon website. YU announced the YUreka Plus later on Q1 2015. The YUreka Plus features an improved 13MP Camera and a 1080p Full HD display. It runs on CyanogenMod 12.0 and is available on Amazon.
